    This study explores the role of innovative technologies in supporting the autonomous development of information culture among adolescents with visual impairments—a population that frequently encounters limited access to digital literacy resources. The aim of the research was to evaluate the extent to which such technologies, particularly those incorporating artificial intelligence, contribute to the development of information literacy, critical thinking, and learner autonomy within this group. A total of 116 adolescents with varying degrees of visual impairment were divided into two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group engaged with adaptive AI-based educational tools, while the control group followed conventional instructional methods. ANOVA was employed to assess differences between groups, revealing that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group: mean scores in information literacy were 78.3 versus 59.2, critical thinking skills reached 74.5 compared to 55, and learner autonomy was rated at 4.2 out of 5 versus 3.1. These findings underscore the potential of innovative technologies to foster a more inclusive and effective learning environment for adolescents with visual impairments.

    INTEGRATION OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INTO THE TRAINING PROCESS OF CHOREOGRAPHY SPECIALISTS
    (T.K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, 2025-12-20) ;
    Artificial intelligence, as a product of human creativity, is widely used in modern society and is deeply penetrating the field of art. In particular, in the domain of dance, AI has become a new tool for choreographers. These changes have led to the need to modernize teaching methods in choreography and to implement innovative approaches aligned with current demands. This study explores the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the training process of choreography specialists. The main objective of the research is to develop innovative teaching methods using AI to train professionals in the field of choreography. The study involves the analysis of scholarly works by both foreign and domestic researchers who have studied the application of AI in the arts. Existing AI platforms used in choreographic practice are identified. A model of the "Dance Composition" course curriculum incorporating AI is developed, and the proposed methodology is tested through experimental implementation. The results obtained during the research demonstrate the positive impact of AI technologies on the choreography education system, their contribution to enhancing students’ creative abilities, and their potential to complement traditional teaching methods. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of considering pedagogical ethics and creative autonomy when integrating AI into the educational process. By analyzing international experience and effectively utilizing modern digital solutions, Kazakhstan’s system of choreography training can enhance its competitiveness. This opens the door for future choreographers to become well-rounded professionals capable of adapting to the digital cultural environment. Overall, the research findings show that the effective integration of artificial intelligence into the field of choreography contributes to the modernization of Kazakhstan’s education system, the development of students’ creative competencies, and the preservation of national art in a contemporary and relevant format.

    This study examined whether AI-supported instruction improves (a) academic achievement and (b) attitudes towards the Kazakh literature course during the “Dramatic and Improvisational Poetic Performance (Aitys)” unit. Using a pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design, 60 juniors studying Kazakh Literature at Abai Kazakh National University in Almaty (2025–2026) were assigned to an experimental group or a control group without random assignment. The experimental group participated in a five-week AI-integrated sequence (plus one assessment week) featuring GPT-based Kazakh-language models, algorithmic dialogue simulation, synthetic voice demonstrations, and computational dramaturgy activities, while the control group received traditional instruction. Outcomes were measured with an achievement test and a 15-item Literature Course Attitude Scale developed by the researcher. Content validity was supported through a table of specifications and expert review, and items were piloted with a parallel cohort to revise borderline discrimination indices before final administration. Normality checks supported parametric testing. Independent-samples t tests compared group means. Pretests showed no significant differences in achievement. Posttests favored the experimental group for achievement and attitude. Findings suggest that AI mediation can deepen understanding of aitys and strengthen engagement with Kazakh heritage. Besides, curricula should include explicit attribution, transparency about AI assistance, and consent-based protocols for voice technologies to address concerns about voice, authorship, and cultural representation.

    Developing interdisciplinary and meta-subject competencies in school geography: a systematic review of digital and mobile learning approaches

    The integration of digital and mobile learning approaches into school geography has become an important direction of pedagogical innovation in recent years, however, how these approaches systematically develop interdisciplinary and meta-subject competencies remains insufficiently theorized and empirically developed. Although individual studies have demonstrated the pedagogical potential of geospatial technologies, mobile augmented reality, immersive virtual environments, and artificial intelligence-based platforms, no previous review has conducted a comprehensive, systematic analysis of this body of evidence, linking it to the cross-curricular and meta-subject competency frameworks that are central to the reform agenda for national and international curricula. The proposed study fills this gap through a systematic review conducted according to PRISMA 2020 requirements: Ninety-one peer-reviewed studies published between 2020 and 2025 were included, selected from the Scopus database, and the level of agreement among the experts was confirmed with a κ = 0.79. The results of the analysis showed that GIS-based research, mobile augmented reality, and AI-supported learning tools make a measurable contribution to competencies such as spatial thinking, metacognitive regulation, systemic reasoning, and critical argumentation. These competencies are central both in international geography curricula and in post-Soviet interdisciplinary concepts. However, a persistent “policy–competency gap” was identified: curricular ambitions for high-level interdisciplinary teaching are often undermined by structural constraints, an insufficient pedagogical scaffolding, and the lack of validated assessment tools. Theoretical frameworks for digital competence development, such as Falloon's Teacher Digital Competency model and Chiu and colleagues’ needs-supporting institutional model, are not sufficiently applied in the context of geography. Based on this synthesis, a conceptual model is proposed that systematizes the conditions for the targeted integration of digital and mobile learning approaches in school geography with the aim of developing interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary competencies, along with priority directions for future empirical research and curriculum design.
