Тип записи:Публикация, Isolation and Biotesting of Tannins from Eichhornia crassipes plants: Pom analyses and Antifungal/antiviral Pharmacophore sites Identification(2025-04-12) ;Gulzira Izmukhanovna Yernazarova; ;Svetlana Kazbekovna Turasheva; Madina AmangeldinovaNutrients produce various secondary metabolites, including biologically active compounds such as antifungals. The composition of E. Crassipes aquatic plant contains biologically active substances. In this article, the composition of substances in E. Crassipes was identified using IR, 1H, and 13C-NMR methods. The identified substances were characterized for biological activity using the PASS online program. This was based on their molecular structure. As a result of the program, compounds showing activity against light, viruses, earwigs, and bacteria were developed. The program's scope included testing the substances' antimicrobial activity using agar diffusion assay in experiments. Substances were extracted from the aquatic plant via chromatography-mass spectrometry, and their activity against earwigs was examined. The study revealed efficacy against Candida albicans and Candida utilis earwigs. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Culturable rhizosphere bacteria associated with Alcea nudiflora (Lindl.) Boiss. in the Zailiyskiy Alatau (Kazakhstan): isolation, characterization and functional potential(Instituto Internacional de Ecologia (Brazil), 2026-01-01) ;Akerke Abil ;Kadir Akan ;Zhansaya Abdukadirova ;Damira YussayevaG. D. UltanbekovaAbstract The rhizosphere of medicinal plants represents a reservoir of culturable bacteria with potential value for plant protection and biotechnology. In this study, we characterized the culturable rhizosphere bacterial community associated with Alcea nudiflora (Lindl.) Boiss. collected from three sites in the Zailiyskiy Alatau. Rhizosphere microorganisms were isolated using tenfold serial dilutions followed by plating on meat-peptone agar and oatmeal agar, purified by streaking, and phenotypically characterized by colony morphology, Gram staining, and motility assays. Nineteen morphologically distinct isolates were recovered and grouped into four morphotypes: Streptomyces-like actinomycetes, Bacillus-like spore-forming rods, coryneform bacteria, and coccoid forms. All isolates showed a Gram-positive reaction. Antagonistic activity was screened using agar well diffusion, disk diffusion, and agar block assays against test microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, C. utilis, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium oxysporum and Penicillium chrysogenum). Several isolates exhibited broad or target-specific antagonism, including strains 5/1 (balanced antibacterial and antifungal activity), 4/7 and 7/1 (anti-staphylococcal activity), 9/3 and 8/2 (antifungal activity, including against Candida spp.), and 1/2 (specific activity against A. niger). Overall, these results provide a baseline characterization of the culturable rhizosphere bacteria associated with Alcea nudiflora (Lindl.) Boiss. in this region and identify candidate isolates for molecular identification and plant-focused validation. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Iodine-Based Coordination Compounds: A Strategy Toward Antibiotic Potentiation(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2026-05-12) ;Daniil Shepilov ;Dana A. Askarova ;Anar Seisembekova; Ardak B. JumagaziyevaDue to the increasing threat of antibiotic resistance and the emergence of new pathogenic strains, the development of effective combined therapeutic agents represents a crucial direction in the fight against infections. Within this study, several compounds were synthesized in which iodine is present in a coordination complex with antibiotics—sodium sulfadimidine and gentamicin sulfate. The physicochemical parameters of these compounds were investigated using capillary electrophoresis and UV spectroscopy, along with their cytotoxicity, antimicrobial, and antiviral activities. As a result of this work, two stable compounds, KC-246 and KC-248, were synthesized, demonstrating virus-inhibitory activity against herpes simplex virus and influenza A under extremely low cytotoxicity levels of 0.018–0.106 mg/mL. Additionally, they exhibited antimicrobial activity against representatives of the families Staphylococcaceae, Pseudomonadaceae, Enterobacteriaceae, Enterococcaceae, and yeast-like fungi. The minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBCs) ranged from 0.794 µg/mL to 0.198 µg/mL (KC-246) and from 2.093 µg/mL to 0.523 µg/mL (KC-248).Цитирования (OpenAlex) 2
