Тип записи:Публикация, Cellular Ceramics Used as Catalytic Supports for Heterogeneous Catalyst SynthesisCellular ceramics have become essential in various industrial applications. This chapter explores the types, shapes, and characteristics of cellular ceramics, and their potential uses in space propulsion and catalysis. There are different varieties, including foams, honeycombs, and reticulated structures, classified by their composition, structure, and production processes. These materials are favored for their high porosity, low density, excellent mechanical strength, and thermal stability. Their large surface area and enhanced mass transfer capabilities make them effective as catalyst supports in processes like hydrocarbon reforming, oxidation, and hydrogenation, where they immobilize catalytically active species to boost activity and selectivity. In space propulsion, cellular ceramics are used in thruster components due to their ability to withstand high temperatures and maintain structural integrity under harsh conditions.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 1Цитирования (OpenCitations) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Preparation of Granular Organic Iodine and Selenium Complex Fertilizer Based on Biochar for Biofortification of Parsley(Hindawi Publishing Corporation, 2024-01-01) ;Yerlan Doszhanov; ;Jakpar Jandosov ;Karina SaurykovaZhandos BassygarayevThis study investigates the potential of biochar derived from various biomass sources: apricot kernel (AK), pine sawdust (PS), rice husk (RH), wheat straw (WS), and reed stem (RS) to enhance the yield, nutritional quality, and environmental sustainability of parsley crops. Comprehensive characterization through SEM, EDAX, nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherms, and FTIR analyses identified AK biochar as the most suitable for further enrichment due to its superior specific surface area (512.3 m2/g) and iodine number (51.23 mg/g). EDAX analysis revealed that AK biochar exhibited the highest carbon content (92.1%), while RH biochar contained the highest silicon content (46%), indicating different potential applications. FTIR analysis identified key functional groups, such as carbonyl (1740 cm⁻1) and hydroxyl (3430 cm⁻1) groups, which contribute to the biochar’s reactivity and potential effectiveness in various applications. The effects of selenium (Na2SeO4), iodine (KI), their combination (Na2SeO4 + KI), and BISF (biochar‐enriched iodine and selenium fertilizer) on parsley growth, antioxidant properties, and nutrient accumulation were evaluated. The results demonstrated that joint applications of iodide and selenate led to a 3.1‐fold increase in iodine content (up to 16.8 mg/kg d.w.) and a 1.2‐fold increase in selenium accumulation (up to 2482.1 μg/kg d.w.) in parsley compared to separate treatments. Additionally, BISF treatment significantly improved key biometric parameters, with leaf weight increasing by 1.6 times (up to 326.5 g) compared to the control, and antioxidant content—ascorbic acid, polyphenols, and antioxidant activity—showing increases of 1.56, 1.27, and 1.50 times, respectively. This study underscores the effectiveness of selenium‐ and iodine‐enriched biochar in enhancing parsley crop yield and nutritional quality while also demonstrating the multifunctional role of biochar in environmental remediation.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 6Цитирования (OpenCitations) 3 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Production and optimization of activated carbon from plant waste with high specific surface area for moisture-saving applications in agriculture(2024-10-20) ;Yerlan Doszhanov; ;Karina Saurykova ;Zulkhair Aimukhametovich MansurovIn conditions of water shortage, sustainable agricultural development requires the use of water-saving technologies, including the use of water-retaining substrates based on activated carbon. In this work, the textural and adsorption characteristics of activated carbon obtained from plant waste were studied at different mass ratios of the sorbent and KOH (1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4). The aim of the study was to determine the optimal activation conditions for creating a material with a high specific surface area and a developed porous structure. The results showed that the largest pore volume (1.6 cm3/g) and a high degree of microporosity are achieved at a ratio of 1:3, which is confirmed by the analysis of pore distribution using the DFT and BJH methods. FTIR spectroscopy revealed the presence of functional groups (O–H, C=O and C–O) that contribute to water conservation. The differential pore volume distribution (dv(r), cm3/Å/g) also demonstrated that at a ratio of sorbent and KOH (1:3), the sample structure optimally combines micropores and mesopores, which increases the adsorption capacity of carbon.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Optimizing Combustion Characteristics of Ammonium Perchlorate Composites with Nickel-Enhanced Carboxymethyl Cellulose(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2025-03-23) ;Marat Nurguzhin ;Marat Janikeyev ;Myrzakhan Omarbayev ;Azira Muratovna YermakhanovaMohammed Nurgazyuly MeiirbekovThis study investigates the impact of nickel doping on the thermal and combustion properties of ammonium perchlorate/carboxymethyl cellulose (AP/CMC) composites. Through comprehensive SEM-EDS, FTIR, XRD, DSC, TGA, and burning rate analyses, significant improvements in the structural and functional characteristics of the AP/CMC-Ni composite were observed compared to those of pure AP and AP/CMC composites. The SEM-EDS analysis revealed that nickel incorporation resulted in thicker and more irregular CMC fibers, indicating substantial morphological changes. The FTIR spectroscopy showed shifts in the O-H and C=O stretching bands, pointing to interactions between nickel ions and CMC functional groups. The XRD patterns highlighted a decrease in crystallinity and the presence of NiO phases, confirming the successful integration of nickel into the CMC matrix. The thermal analysis demonstrated that nickel doping significantly lowered the decomposition temperature of the AP/CMC composite, as evidenced by DSC, and enhances the thermal degradation process, as shown by TGA. The AP/CMC-Ni composite exhibited a higher burning rate across all of the tested pressures, highlighting the catalytic effect of nickel in improving the combustion efficiency. The burning rate for AP/CMC follows the power-law expression with constants a = 2.34 and n = 0.499, while for AP/CMC-Ni, the constants are a = 3.35 and n = 0.475. This study highlights the essential role of nickel doping in facilitating the decomposition of AP within the AP/CMC composite. By lowering the decomposition temperature, nickel enhances the overall combustion process, making the AP/CMC-Ni composite more efficient for applications requiring controlled thermal decomposition. These findings provide valuable insights for the design and development of high-performance composite materials in advanced industrial applications. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, 1-Carboxy-2-phenylethan-1-aminium Iodide 2-Azaniumyl-3-phenylpropanoate Crystals: Properties and Its Biochar-Based Application for Iodine Enrichment of Parsley(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2025-10-06); ; ;Almagul Kerimkulova ;Yerlan DoszhanovKarina SaurykovaIodine deficiency remains a significant nutritional problem, which stimulates the search for sustainable approaches to biofortification of vegetable crops. The aim of the work was to develop a "smart" bio-iodine fertilizer based on the organoiodide complex 1-carboxy-2-phenylethan-1-aminium iodide 2-azaniumyl-3-phenylpropanoate (PPI) and highly porous biochar from agro-waste, assessing its efficiency on the parsley model. PPI was synthesized and characterized (IR/UV spectroscopy, thermal analysis), biochar was obtained by KOH activation and studied by low-temperature nitrogen adsorption (S_BET) methods, as well as standard physicochemical characterization. The granulated composition PPI + biochar (BIOF) was tested in pot experiments in comparison with KI and control; The biomass of leaves and roots, iodine and organic nitrogen content, and antioxidant indices (ascorbic acid, total polyphenols, antioxidant activity) were assessed. BIOF provided a significant increase in yield and nutrition: leaf mass reached 86.55 g/plant versus 77.72 g/plant with KI and 65.04 g/plant in the control; root mass — up to 8.25 g/plant (p<0.05). Iodine content in leaves and roots increased to 11.86 and 13.23 mg/kg (d. w.), respectively, while organic nitrogen levels increased simultaneously (57.37 and 36.63 mg/kg). A significant increase in the antioxidant status was noted (ascorbic acid 36.46 mg/100 g dry weight; antioxidant activity 44.48 mg GA/g; polyphenols 23.79 mg GA/g). The presented data show that the combination of PPI with activated biochar forms an effective platform for controlled supply of iodine to plants, increasing the yield and functional qualities of products; the prospects for implementation are associated with field trials and dosage optimization. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Mechanism of Catalytic Thermal Decomposition of Ammonium Perchlorate in the Presence of Ti3C2Tx(2025-10-17) ;Zhanibek Korkembay ;Moldir Auyelkhankyzy; ;Zulkhair Aimukhametovich MansurovV. BykovThe thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) proceeds via a well-established stepwise mechanism. However, its catalytic decomposition under combustion conditions is not yet fully understood. This study investigates and clarifies the catalytic decomposition pathway of AP in the presence of Ti3C2Tx, a novel two-dimensional (2D) material with unique structural properties. MXene was chosen for its exceptional conductivity, large surface area, and layered architecture, which provide active sites for redox interactions and enhance the thermal decomposition rate of AP. During combustion of AP-based solid rocket propellants, MXene acts as a catalyst, promoting more complete and rapid oxidation reactions. The combustion products were thoroughly analyzed using X-ray phase analysis, and based on the obtained data, stoichiometric equations for the potential reaction pathways were proposed. These equations highlight the formation of metal oxides and intermediate chlorinated compounds. Furthermore, a schematic model illustrating the catalytic action of Ti3C2Tx was developed, showing the interaction between AP molecules and MXene’s surface functional groups. These findings advance understanding of nanocatalyst behavior in energetic materials and offer insights for improving solid-propellant performance via MXene incorporation.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
