The article discusses the idea of the novel life of Klim Samgin. The author tries to find the answer to the question: how does Klim Samgin adapt to History? Mirroring is also considered as a principle of constructing the image of the hero and as a strategy of his behavior. The author also seeks to stress the contribution of M. Gorky in art and culture.
