Аннотация
At the end of XII - beginning of XIII centuries the political situation in steppes of Central Asia and Kazakhstan was characterized by strengthening of struggle between rulers of strong nomadic unions of tribes for the power over other tribes. During this struggle, the representative of one of the Mongolian tribes Temuchin (Genghis Khan) managed to unite the tribes of Central Asia, and he became the most powerful conqueror in the Central Asian steppes. Temuchin's fame increased in the wars of the kereit Khan with the Naiman, Mongol-speaking tribes of Tatars and Merkits, in which the future Genghis Khan, acting as a vassal of van Khan, took an active part.
