The paper discusses the structural features of a hybrid power plant, the ratio of electrical and thermal circuit power, and algorithms for controlling energy and thrust distribution in various flight modes. A mathematical model of UAV motion is proposed, taking into account the thrust, inertial, and energy characteristics of the power plant, on the basis of which an analysis of transient processes, stability along orientation channels, and sensitivity to external disturbances is carried out. A comparison with traditional power plants in terms of maneuverability, stability, energy efficiency, and reliability has been performed. It has been shown that the optimal choice of hybrid drive configuration and control strategies can improve flight stability, reduce oscillation, and improve the quality of response to control actions. The aim of the study is to identify how the choice of hybrid power plant structure, the ratio of electrical and thermal circuit power, and energy flow control algorithms affect the maneuverability, transient modes, and stability of UAVs in various mission profiles. The study proposes a mathematical model of UAV motion dynamics that takes into account the characteristics of the hybrid electric drive, thrust and inertia limitations, as well as simulation of the thrust control and power distribution system operating modes. A comparison with traditional power plants is made in terms of control quality, stability, energy efficiency, and reliability. The results obtained allow determining the optimal ranges of hybrid electric motor parameters and control strategies that ensure increased stability, reduced oscillation in orientation channels, and improved response to control actions. The practical significance of the work lies in the formation of scientifically based recommendations for the design and configuration of hybrid power plants for UAVs intended for long flights, monitoring, and special tasks in difficult operating conditions. The results obtained can be used in the design and tuning of UAV power plants intended for long flights, monitoring, and special tasks in difficult operating conditions.
