Тип записи:Публикация, Distance and Inclusive Teaching of School Computer Science: Instructional Practices and Learning Experiences(International Journal of Information and Education Technology, 2026-01-01); This study examines the effectiveness of teaching Computer Science (CS) skills to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through distance education within an inclusive education. Twelve students, aged 10–12 years, participated in a twenty-week online platform using Code.org. A single-case descriptive and explanatory approach was used. Data were collected through observation, teacher feedback, and analysis of student task performance. Quantitative results showed that 75% of participants demonstrated measurable improvement in task completion rates, and the average score on programming-related exercises increased by 21% between the first and final sessions. Qualitative findings revealed increased engagement, motivation, and independence in solving algorithmic tasks, although some challenges persisted in sustaining attention and managing sensory overload. The results indicate that children with ASD can successfully participate in CS learning through structured and visually supported distance education. The study adds to current discussions about inclusive digital pedagogy and offers practical guidance for educators designing adaptive online CS instruction for students with ASD. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Development and Implementation of an Educational Mobile Application for Children with Hearing Impairments(International Journal of Information and Education Technology, 2026-01-01); ; This study investigates the development and evaluation of an educational mobile application designed for children with hearing impairments. The application incorporates game-based elements to facilitate learning and enhance engagement. The primary aim was to assess its effectiveness in improving algorithmic thinking and academic performance. The research was conducted in two stages: (1) development of the application using an inclusive design approach, and (2) experimental implementation in the educational process. The participants were 15 sixth-grade students from a specialized school for children with hearing impairments, divided into an experimental group (n = 7) and a control group (n = 8). The experimental group used the application as a supplementary tool for learning programming, while the control group followed traditional teaching methods. Pre-test and post-test assessments were administered to measure changes in performance. The results demonstrated that the mobile application significantly enhanced algorithmic thinking and improved academic outcomes compared with the traditional approach. These findings highlight the potential of accessible digital tools to support inclusive education and promote effective learning among students with special educational needs. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Formation of Information Culture in Visually Impaired Adolescents through Innovative Technologies(International Journal of Information and Education Technology, 2025-01-01); ;Butabayeva Laura Askarovna ;Aigerim Makhmetova ;Aigerim ChulembayevaThis study explores the role of innovative technologies in supporting the autonomous development of information culture among adolescents with visual impairments—a population that frequently encounters limited access to digital literacy resources. The aim of the research was to evaluate the extent to which such technologies, particularly those incorporating artificial intelligence, contribute to the development of information literacy, critical thinking, and learner autonomy within this group. A total of 116 adolescents with varying degrees of visual impairment were divided into two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group engaged with adaptive AI-based educational tools, while the control group followed conventional instructional methods. ANOVA was employed to assess differences between groups, revealing that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group: mean scores in information literacy were 78.3 versus 59.2, critical thinking skills reached 74.5 compared to 55, and learner autonomy was rated at 4.2 out of 5 versus 3.1. These findings underscore the potential of innovative technologies to foster a more inclusive and effective learning environment for adolescents with visual impairments.
