    The article gives an opportunity for students to practice theoretical knowledge obtained by integratingbiotechnological research into methods of teaching biology in higher education institutions. With thehelp of biotechnological research, methods for conducting standard laboratory studies of pedagogical biologyin higher educational institutions are proposed. Laboratory classes are conducted efficiently, usingcomprehensive technological methods, depending on the pedagogical skills of the teacher. Based on theuse of biotechnological research, biologically active substances from high-water plants were determined.The subject of the study were aquatic plants Eichhornia crassipes, Pistia stratiotes, grown in a specialliquid medium, under the conditions of luministate. The amounts of biologically active substances fromaboveground and underground parts of aquatic plants were analyzed. Most of the biologically activeISSN 2520-2634 Journal of Educational Sciences. №2 (55). 2018 67Ерназарова Г.И. және т.б.substances are alkaloids, amino acids, anthraquinones, proteins, carbohydrates, coumarins,, polysaccharides,steroids, terpenes, phenolic acids and flavonoids. Now in the countries of the world an actual problem becomes preparation of the qualified, talented, competitive experts who continuously develop in various branches of science and education, from year to year technologies are updated, introduced into the industrial branch. In this regard, changes and additions to the legislation of the country’s education system are made from year to year. There fore, an important role in providing in-depth knowledge of future specialists in our country is played by many effective methods of training in the educational process. The article offers methods of formation of research activity of students. The study of biology shows the division of students into groups in the formation of business activities of students and the implementation of jointly proposed project research sessions “Determination of biologically active substances of vegetative organs of plants.” Defining, forming, controlling, analytical levels of lessons of project research are described, efficiency of formation of research competence of future specialists-biologists as a result of research activity on this level is characterized. The result of joint activities is a group final product, which is often in the form of a report. The result of this work-high cognitive and educational motivation of students in the development of research and search activities-provides an increase in the creative efforts of the teacher. The results of a survey of 40 students based on the outcome of the use of research methods of training are presented in the article. The result of using the method is a high cognitive and learning motivation of students in the development of research and search activities, which provided the development of creative skills of both students and teachers. Key words: Research activity, group training, project, laboratory work, plants, biologically active substances.

    Peculiarities of Teaching Biology in Universities under Conditions of Digitalization
    (Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, 2022-07-08) ; ; ;
    Currently, all areas of society are moving toward the mass use of information systems and technologies. Many countries are introducing information systems into the educational process. Every modernteacher should be fluent in information technology. In this way, it helps to increase student motivationfor the class. Changing the system of relations between the teacher and the student, the content, thestructure of their activities, they affect their motivational emotional environment. The use of informationand technological means allows you to turn the biology lesson into a fascinating and productive lesson.The article considers effective methods of using electronic educational resources and capabilities ofeducational platforms in the conditions of transition to distance learning in accordance with the requirements of the state program “Digital Kazakhstan”. It is emphasized that when teaching students, it is important to use effective modern methods and techniques, as well as visual and auditory elements insteadof methods and approaches that make students dependent on the textbook and limit them to what theteacher teaches. The effectiveness of using videos in biology classes was studied. Student performanceresults are given on the research paper. In particular, the use of video materials during classes allowsstudents to convey the necessary information as accurately as possible, and students, due to their modern capabilities and features, better absorb the material in this way. The results of questionnaires fromdifferent regions on the effectiveness of videos were discussed and analyzed. Thus, the study revealedthe necessity of using videos in biology lessons to facilitate students’ learning and their effectiveness inthe learning process.Key words: information technology, methods, videos, experimental, control, performance,creativity.

    The situation is taken as the basis of the research. It is seen that the biological local study is aimed and designed on the students' application of development technology. The study was designed in the fall term of 2022–2023 and was prepared with 148 participants. The participant groups that made up the study were given training on the problem situation of the research. The main purpose is to help participants develop ‘Technology’ ‘Biological local’ topics and to further their education. Each data and value obtained according to the training of the study was made by frequency analysis, t-test, using the utility program, and the results were written into the research in the presence of tables. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the participant groups easily used development technologies in biological local studies and the application that came with this idea was formed. EVALUATING THE PREPAREDNESS OF FUTURE BIOLOGY SPECIALISTS TO INTEGRATE STEM APPROACHES INTO THEIR EDUCATION AND TRAINING
    (Ablai Khan University, 2025-06-01) ;
    The aim of this article is to examine the level of awareness among students in higher educational institutions regarding the STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics)- innovative teaching method, as well as to explore the range of activities related to STEM being conducted within universities. In today’s world, there exists a wide range of modern teaching methods, among which the STEM method stands out. Based on foreign experiences, it is recognized as an integrative approach across scientific disciplines, aimed at providing students with a profound understanding of Natural Science concepts. Robotics, one of the narratives of the STEM, has seen widespread adoption in schools, but has only recently begun to be incorporated into higher education institutions. Currently, the Y. Altynsarin National Academy of Education has introduced methodological guidelines for the implementation of the STEM approach, and efforts to establish STEM-focused classrooms and numerous laboratories within schools and universities are being coordinated by the ministry. On this foundation, an array of specialized facilities, including 3D modeling studios, robotics workshops, center, and laboratories, have been established in both schools and tertiary institutions, integrating into the educational framework. Furthermore, under the auspices of Chevron, the educational entity “Caravan of Knowledge” has embarked on the development of the methodological guides within the ambit of the “STEM Education Development Roadmap for 2021-2025”. This initiative has led to the organization of STEAM-focused video lessons, thematic STEM fortnights and scholarly conferences. The undertaken research has been pivotal in assessing the preparedness levels for implementing education via STEM methodology, while also evaluating its significance.

    The article discusses pedagogical methods for developing ecological and critical skills in future teachers of natural science disciplines, exploring ways to foster the development of these skills in future educators. Particular attention is given to approaches that promote the integration of ecological knowledge and critical thinking in the educational process using digital technologies and GIS. The study involved 76 studensts from two universities and 155 secondary school students. The pedagogical experiment was conducted in four stages: theoretical, practical, analytical, and final. Particular focus was given to using GIS technologies to develop students' spatial analysis skills and encourage research activity. The results showed that 85% of biology students and 79% of geography students achieved the learning objectives at the levels “excellent” and “good,” respectively. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is confirmed by these results, and it can be recommended for use in training future teachers.
