Тип записи:Публикация, Formation of Information Culture in Visually Impaired Adolescents through Innovative Technologies(International Journal of Information and Education Technology, 2025-01-01); ;Butabayeva Laura Askarovna ;Aigerim Makhmetova ;Aigerim ChulembayevaThis study explores the role of innovative technologies in supporting the autonomous development of information culture among adolescents with visual impairments—a population that frequently encounters limited access to digital literacy resources. The aim of the research was to evaluate the extent to which such technologies, particularly those incorporating artificial intelligence, contribute to the development of information literacy, critical thinking, and learner autonomy within this group. A total of 116 adolescents with varying degrees of visual impairment were divided into two groups: experimental and control. The experimental group engaged with adaptive AI-based educational tools, while the control group followed conventional instructional methods. ANOVA was employed to assess differences between groups, revealing that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group: mean scores in information literacy were 78.3 versus 59.2, critical thinking skills reached 74.5 compared to 55, and learner autonomy was rated at 4.2 out of 5 versus 3.1. These findings underscore the potential of innovative technologies to foster a more inclusive and effective learning environment for adolescents with visual impairments. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Innovative methods of teaching the short story genre in the context of digitalization of education: A cross-sectional study of students in Kazakhstan(International University of Sarajevo, 2025-04-09); ; ;Zhanna AitzhanovaZhanat OrynkhanovaThe article is aimed at the development and implementation of innovative methods of teaching a short story as a literary genre with the use of digital instruments. The research suggests using a cross-sectional study based on descriptive methodology and comparative analysis. The study was set up at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University and included 68 participants (38 in the experimental group and 30 – in the control group). The results found that digital tools are widely used to teach a short story as a literary genre. The effective methods to teach a short story as a literary genre are the following: debate and interactive discussion through online platforms, writing exercises, role-playing and simulation, problem-based tasks, thematic mind mapping, comparative study, collaborative projects, video lectures, and peer learning. Besides, it was proved that a short story is an efficient educational tool and contributes to the improvement of the professional skills of future philologists. They refer to analytical skills, critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, cross-cultural competence, communicative skills, creative writing, and textual analysis. The experiment resulted in the development of recommendations for teaching the short story as a literary genre at the institutional, pedagogical, technological, linguistic, and psychological tiers. In conclusion, innovative methods based on digital tools enhance the process of teaching a short story as a literary genre and contribute to the training of philological students. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Adaptation of pedagogical approaches to the implementation of intelligent systems in the educational process(International University of Sarajevo, 2025-04-23) ;Iryna Kuchynska; ;Алла Петрівна Кобися ;Larysa KutsakInteractive systems play an essential role in the modern educational system, but the issue of their optimization remains under-researched. Research purpose. The article aims to analyze the attitudes of teachers and students to the introduction of intelligent systems in the educational process, as well as to identify the main approaches to adapting pedagogical methods and key barriers. Research method. A purposive sample was used to include participants. Two groups were selected: students and teachers (60 participants in total). The main instrument in the study is a cross-sectional survey. Survey period: October – November 2024. Results. The findings show that intelligent learning technologies are known to all participants in the educational process: 32% actively use them, 52% are partially familiar with them, and only 14% determined that they rarely use them. Their effectiveness is undisputed, and their prospects are associated with increasing teaching efficiency. Among the problems in use are the lack of digital literacy, unresolved ethical issues, digital threats, and lack of necessary infrastructure. Recommendations are offered: increasing the motivational component, conducting special courses and training for teachers and students, improving technical support, and overcoming the shortcomings of the legislative framework. Conclusions. An essential potential of intelligent systems is their capabilities in gamification, blended learning, project-based learning, and the use of interactive lectures and seminars. The conclusions indicate that further adaptation of existing pedagogical approaches will require interactivity and adaptability.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 3 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Development of research competencies in geomorphology education through the integration of digital technologies and modeling(L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, 2026-10-01); In the context of the current digitalisation of education and the growing importance of research, special attention is being paid to developing students' competencies through interdisciplinary approaches. This article examines the integration of geomorphology with physics and modern digital technologies as an effective tool for developing research skills. The combination of physical models and digital tools is noted to enable learners not only to gain a deeper understanding of landform formation processes but also to develop critical thinking, the ability to work with large volumes of data, it is noted that this allows students not only to gain a deeper understanding of landform development processes but also to apply modern analytical methods to solve practical and educational problems. The potential of physical models to represent all phenomena affecting landform development processes, such as erosion, tectonic movements, and hydrological phenomena, is analysed, allowing students to visually understand the dynamics of natural processes. The application of digital technologies—Geographic Information Systems (GIS), digital mapping, terrain simulators, and Big Data analysis—for collecting, processing, visualising, and modelling geomorphological data is examined. This integrated approach develops students' systems thinking skills, their ability to interpret and analyse the results of experiments and numerical models, as well as their research capabilities. A methodology for developing research competence is proposed, including setting problem-based tasks, conducting physical experiments, digitally analysing data, and interpreting results in a project format. The methodology involves a step-by-step approach to mastering skills, from observing and describing natural processes, through to building models, collecting data, analysing it using digital tools, and presenting the results visually. This approach enables learners to formulate hypotheses independently, establish causal relationships, identify patterns, and test them in practice. The combination of practical and digital methods has been shown to foster the development of learners' analytical thinking, independent research skills, critical analysis of information, and communication skills when working in groups. Furthermore, the application of an interdisciplinary approach enhances enthusiasm for studying geomorphology, fosters a sustained interest in scientific research, and develops students' digital literacy, which is crucial for the modern scientific and professional context. This interdisciplinary approach not only deepens learners' understanding of natural processes but also develops practical and digital skills that are essential for modern scientific and professional work. It develops systems and critical thinking, the ability to work with large datasets, to build and analyse models, as well as the use of modern digital visualisation and modelling tools. As a result, learners acquire skills applicable to both research and professional practice, making the educational process practical and relevant in the context of a digital economy and rapidly changing technologies.
