Тип записи:Публикация, Understanding Barriers and Supports for Women’s Progression in STEM in Kazakhstan(2025-01-01)Abstract Based on the theoretical taxonomy of supports and barriers and Social Cognitive Career theory, this chapter contributes to the existing literature on STEM women’s pathways by qualitatively examining environmental supports and barriers that girls and women experience in all developmental stages, from childhood to professional life. The overarching purpose of this chapter is to synthesize and summarize the multidimensional barriers that affect, impede, or prevent girls and women from choosing STEM educational/career trajectories and the supports that facilitate their advancement and retention in STEM career trajectories across three developmental stages: childhood, adolescence (high school and university study), and adulthood (professional life). A core finding from this study is that women are strongly dependent on external social agents, such as parents, teachers, peers, employers, and spouses, in all developmental stages, who can play a dual role, either supporting the girls’ and young women’s interest in STEM and providing mentorship or discouraging them from being engaged with STEM.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 6Цитирования (OpenCitations) 4 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, The Development of Moral Values of School Children with Visual Impairments Folk Music(State University of Semarang, 2023-12-30); ;Butabayeva Laura Askarovna; ; The relevance of the presented paper is conditioned upon the fact that today, the subject of the development of moral values in children with visual impairment through musical motifs of folklore is a very understudied issue. However, based on the statistics of the World Health Organisation for 2021, about 2.2 billion people worldwide have visual impairments. The purpose of this paper is to study the features of the psychological and pedagogical characteristics of children with visual impairments, their moral development, and the development of ways of spiritual and moral education through folk music. To achieve this purpose, the following methods were used: analysis, synthesis, comparison, induction, statistical analysis, and deduction. In particular, the method of statistical analysis of sources of American, Kazakh, and Russian researchers within the boundaries of the subject was used. The practical basis was the statistical data of the WHO company for 2021. The result of the study was a complete analysis of the statistics of children with visual impairment in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The study’s main conclusion is that modern methods of teaching children with visual impairment are based on the musical accompaniment of educational activities since the musical form allows the development of moral values. Visually impaired students are characterised by insufficient development of the visual-imaginative level of mental activity, which determines the uniqueness of specific conceptual thinking due to visual perception disorders and limited visual experience. The alienation of a child with visual impairments from others entails secrecy and lack of communication, which can be expressed in a large volume of complexes in the future. The applied value of this paper lies in the development of recommendations for improving the system of pedagogical education of children with visual impairment through folklore-applied developmental classes.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 1 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, THE IMPACT OF THE USE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN TEACHING MATHEMATICS AT SCHOOL(2024-04-07); The dependence of students on gadgets and digital technologies poses a significant challenge to the education system, making it imperative to find effective solutions. Interactive games offer a promising approach to addressing this issue, as they not only engage students but also enhance problem-solving skills, facilitate homework checking, and reinforce theoretical concepts. Despite these benefits, interactive games are underutilized in mathematics lessons in Kazakhstan. Therefore, this study aims to experimentally assess the effectiveness of interactive games in enhancing students' cognitive activity during mathematics lessons. The experiment involved 22 10th-grade students from a comprehensive school, divided into a research group and a control group. The research methods included analysis, comparative analysis, synthesis, and generalization of scientific literature, as well as documentary analysis of normative legal acts and educational concepts related to computerization and informatization of education. The experimental intervention lasted one month and consisted of three interactive game-based lessons and one traditional lesson as an exam. The results indicated that students in the research group demonstrated higher levels of engagement and scored approximately 50% higher on the test compared to the control group. These findings suggest that interactive games can effectively enhance cognitive activity and could be implemented in both specialized and general education settings. However, the study's scope was limited to one topic and did not include repetition or other topics, highlighting the need for further research in this area.

The article reveals the problems that rest on the choice of profession of school graduates, the transition of young people from study to work, the difficulty with professional orientation, and, as a result, high unemployment in the labor market. The listed problems cover almost many countries of the world. Among the reasons for such a negative growth, the authors of the publication explain, first of all, changes in the functioning of the educational system, which can eventually lead to socio-economic risks and social inequality. The other side of the above-mentioned problem noted that the existing educational practice in many ways does not provide the order of the state and society for the formation of a graduate of urban and rural schools as a subject of socio-professional self-determination. The reasons rest on the following factors: - a low level of career guidance interaction between educational organizations of different levels, which generates the substitution of practice-oriented forms of professional orientation with psychological diagnostics and counseling; - the use of outdated inefficient approaches without taking into account modern information technologies and more. The purpose of the presented research is to identify, in the regional context, the transformation of professional preferences of high school students in urban and rural schools as a strategy for future employment. As a result of the survey conducted by the authors among school graduates, conclusions and proposals were formulated to optimize preparatory and organizational work among high school students to improve the methodology of career guidance activities. These proposals formed the basis for the developed sociological survey program and documents for school administrations in order to conduct annual monitoring to identify students' professional preferences, taking into account new trends in the employment market. Key words: education, schools, professional training of graduates, professional preferences of schoolchildren, state educational grants, regions.
