This article examines the use of mobile applications in geography education and their impact on students' knowledge levels, motivation, and engagement. The study demonstrates that tools such as Google Earth, StudyGe, Quizizz, Kahoot, and Quizlet contribute not only to better learning outcomes but also to the development of practical skills, including spatial thinking and data analysis. Тип записи:Публикация, EFFECTIVE USE OF CRITICAL THINKING TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING FICTION AT THE UNIVERSITY(2024-06-15)This article systematically examines the issue of the effective use of critical thinking in teaching students fiction. According to the technology of developing critical thinking, the work of researchers is first reviewed and the significance of this technology is determined on the basis of their opinions. From several methods, strategies of critical thinking that activate students in the classroom, those that are inherent in the nature of the work are selected. They are sorted into three stages of critical thinking development technology. An example is taken by Miguel de Cervantes’ novel Don Quixote, which studies the effectiveness of approaches to the complete assimilation of new material by students. The problem of forming a creative person who can critically analyze the fate of the main characters in the work with modern life was also mentioned. АдиеваБұл жұмыста Geogebra бағдарламасының көмегімен геометрия пәнінен 7 сыныпта өтілетін «Салу есептері» тақырыбын оқытудағы оқушылардың үлгеріміне әсерін анықтау қарастырылады. Зерттеу жүргізу барысында квазиэксперименттік әдіс қолданылып, оған No 129 жалпы білім беретін мектептің 7 сынып оқушылары қатысты. Оқушыларды 15-тен екі топқа: 1-шісі компьютерлік интерактивті Geogebra бағдарламасының көмегімен оқытылатын эксперименттік, 2-шісі дәстүрлі оқыту қолданылатын бақылау тобы болып бөлінді. Зерттеуді жүргізу барысында оқушылардан pre-test (зерттеуге дейінгі) және post-test (зерттеуден кейінгі) тестілері алынды. Зерттеуге дейінгі және кейінгі тесттер арасындағы айырмашылық Geogebra бағдарламасы оқушылардың оқу үлгерімінеәсерін анықтайтын етіп құралды. Сонымен қатар, Geogebra бағдарламасының әсері, пайдасы туралы оқушылардан сауалнама алынып, сауалнама нәтижесі талқыланды. Эвтагогика теориясы білім алушыға нені, қашан және қалай үйренетінін анықтауға мүмкіндік беретін өзін-өзі оқытудың шығармашылық тәсілі ретінде айқындалған. Қашықтан оқыту барысындағы студенттердің цифрлық ізі негізіндегі өздік жұмысының уақыты мен сапасын бақылау мен бағалау үшін эвтагогикаға негізделген критерийлер мен көрсеткіштер жиынтығы анықталып, сандық көрсеткіштері іріктелді және әрбір студенттің үлгерімін бағалауға мүмкіндік беретін әдістеме ұсынылды. Мақалада эмпирикалық деректер мен оқу аналитикасына негізделген өздік жұмыстың табыстылығын бағалау алгоритмдері қамтылған. В статье проводится мониторинг и оценка самостоятельной работы студентов дистанционного обучения на основе эвтагогики. Теория эвтагогики определяется как творческий подход к самообучению, который позволяет обучаемуся определять, что, когда и как изучать. В целях контроля и оценки времени и качества самостоятельной работы студентов на основе цифрового следа при дистанционном обучении определен набор критериев и показателей на основе эвтагогики, выбраны количественные показатели и предложена методика, позволяющая оценить успеваемость каждого обучающегося. В статье приведены алгоритмы оценки успешности самостоятельности на основе эмпирических данных и аналитики обучения. Предложенные алгоритмы позволяют интерпретировать цифровые следы самостоятельной работы в дистанционном обучении, оценивать ее успешность и повышать качество обучения за счет коррекции траектории обучения студента. The article monitors and evaluates the independent work of distance learning students based on eutagogy. Eutagogy theory is defined as a creative approach to self-learning that allows the learner to determine what, when and how to learn. In order to control and evaluate the time and quality of independent work of students on the basis of a digital trace in distance learning, a set of criteria and indicators based on eutagogy has been defined, quantitative indicators have been selected, and a methodology has been proposed to assess the progress of each student. The article presents algorithms for assessing the success of independence based on empirical data and learning analytics. The proposed algorithms make it possible to interpret digital traces of independent work in distance learning, evaluate its success and improve the quality of education by correcting the student's learning path. Тип записи:Публикация, AN EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH TO TESTING THE TECHNIQUE OF CREATIVE WRITING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT A UNIVERSITYThis article delves into the investigation of the effectiveness of integrating creative writing activities within the context of foreign language classrooms at the university level. The primary objective is to scrutinize the conditions and outcomes associated with the implementation of creative writing techniques in foreign language instruction and its impact on language acquisition processes. Drawing inspiration from the theories of Noam Chomsky on first language acquisition and Stephen Krashen on second language acquisition, this study adopts an experimental approach to explore the influence of creative writing on language learning.Employing methods such as contrastive analysis, descriptive analysis, and comparison, the study unveils the pivotal role of creative writing across different proficiency levels, ranging from intermediate to advanced fluency stages. It is observed that students, particularly during these stages, exhibit a heightened need for linguistic expression, transcending conventional academic written outputs.Furthermore, the article categorizes and reviews various types of activities involving creative writing, shedding light on their potential outcomes. The experimental aspect of this research involves the implementation of creative writing techniques in university foreign language classes, yielding promising results. Through this experimental endeavor, students demonstrated enhanced engagement, improved language proficiency, and heightened creativity in linguistic expression.The scientific novelty of this article lies in its unique exploration of the intersections between foreign language acquisition and creative writing, a topic relatively underexplored in local pedagogical inquiries. Theoretical significance is derived from the comprehensive analysis and systematization of a technique that is not yet widely integrated into foreign language teaching practices in Kazakhstan's higher education institutions. Тип записи:Публикация, Science students’ attitudes, learning, critical thinking and engagement in project-based learning(Taylor & Francis, 2024-12-27); ; Nuri BaltaIn Project-Based Learning (PjBL), students are at the center of the learning process, where they actively collaborate to solve real-world problems. The aim of this study’s research was to explore students’ opinions of PjBL lessons across several factors: attitude, learning, critical thinking and engagement. To gather data, a questionnaire was administered to 167 students from six universities in Kazakhstan. The results revealed that students’ attitudinal scores towards PjBL were lower than their learning, critical thinking and engagement scores. Additionally, female students reported more positive attitudes towards PjBL than their male counterparts. The study found no variation in attitudes, learning, critical thinking and engagement of PjBL among different academic disciplines. Moreover, there was a weak positive correlation between students’ math scores and their engagement in PjBL. These results have implications for how future PjBL activities can be organized and how curriculum can be developed to enhance students’ attitudes towards PjBL.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 31Цитирования (OpenCitations) 19
