In the article the sorption ability of microalgae cultures to chromium are discussed. The objects of the study were microalgae from the collection of the Department of Biotechnology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, related to cyanoprokaryotes (Cyanoprocaryota/ Cyanobacteria): Anabaena flosaquae, Anabaena arnoldii, Nostoc linckia, Calothrix pariethina as well as their two-species mixtures A. flos-aquae х C. pariethina, N. linckia х C. pariethina, A. flos- aquae х N. Linckia, A. flos-aquae х A. arnoldii and Scenedesmus quadricauda. Also two green (Scenedesmus quadricauda and Chlorhormidium sp.) and one diatomaceous (Nitzshia sp.) algae were studied. The duration of cultivation was 20 days. Potassium bichromate was added to the nutrient medium at concentrations 0.01-0.2 mg/ml calculated per unit of chromium. The concentration of chromium in the filtrates of the studied cultures in some cases significantly decreased by the end of the cultivation period, which indicates the biosorption of this element by the microalgae cells. The investigated strains of microalgae absorb chromium from the medium in varying degrees. The most active biosorbents among the explored cultures were A. flos-aquae, N. linckia and C. рariethina. A microalgae A. arnoldii extracts chromium from the medium in smaller quantities. The listed strains refer to cyanoprokaryotes (cyanobacteria), from other cultures, the Scenedesmus quadricauda absorbs chromium quite actively. The highest intensity of chromium biosorption is characteristic of Nostoc (N. linckia), which extracts from the medium 60.8-74.6% chromium at initial concentrations 0.05-0.1 mg/ ml respectively. The most active biosorbents of chromium were four species of Cyanobacteria. In this regard, these strains have been selected by us for future study of the processes of sorption and metabolic activity in mono- and mixed cultures of microalgae.

This article is devoted to the identification of physiological and biochemical features of the influence of chromium and heavy metals (HM) on microalgae. The chromium-accumulating ability of some microalgae and influence of HM on the physiological-biochemical parameters of microalgae in monoculture and mixed cultures are shown. The allelopatic relationships of microalgae and their influence on the processes of chromium and HM absorption are considered Microalgae A. flos-aquae, A. arnoldii, N. linckia, C. paryethina actively absorb chromium from the culture medium are shown. The greatest absorption of chromium and HM occurs in microalgae cultures with positive allelopathic interference: A. flos-aquae, A. arnoldii, A. flos-aquae, N. linckia. In this article discusses the results of experiments with test-objects of different trophic levels. The unicellular algae is the most sensitive group of organisms to potassium dichromate that is shown. Particularly emphasized is the chromium accumulating capacity of certain plant objects, including microalgae. In studies on the effects of harmful substances on aquatic organisms, potassium dichromate is used as a reference toxicant. Their brief characteristics, pathways and migration, including intracellular and extracellular detoxification of HM ions, are given. The results of investigations are that physiological and biochemical processes of microalgae in conditions of environmental contamination with chromium ions have a general biological significance and can be used for the study of phytoremediation, ecological physiology and biotechnology. The data obtained in the research can be used to develop methods for biological treaHMent of wastewater and closed water systems contaminated with chromium.

Now in the countries of the world an actual problem becomes preparation of the qualified, talented, competitive experts who continuously develop in various branches of science and education, from year to year technologies are updated, introduced into the industrial branch. In this regard, changes and additions to the legislation of the country’s education system are made from year to year. There fore, an important role in providing in-depth knowledge of future specialists in our country is played by many effective methods of training in the educational process. The article offers methods of formation of research activity of students. The study of biology shows the division of students into groups in the formation of business activities of students and the implementation of jointly proposed project research sessions “Determination of biologically active substances of vegetative organs of plants.” Defining, forming, controlling, analytical levels of lessons of project research are described, efficiency of formation of research competence of future specialists-biologists as a result of research activity on this level is characterized. The result of joint activities is a group final product, which is often in the form of a report. The result of this work-high cognitive and educational motivation of students in the development of research and search activities-provides an increase in the creative efforts of the teacher. The results of a survey of 40 students based on the outcome of the use of research methods of training are presented in the article. The result of using the method is a high cognitive and learning motivation of students in the development of research and search activities, which provided the development of creative skills of both students and teachers. Key words: Research activity, group training, project, laboratory work, plants, biologically active substances.

Currently, during the period of intensive development of scientific production, it is important to obtain phytopreparations from sources of raw materials of plant origin. The biological diversity of plants is amazing. The study of the composition of aquatic plants rich in active substances of biotechnological significance is currently an urgent problem. Biologically active substances are involved in various regenerative reactions and metabolic processes in the organism, being part of enzymes. Alkaloids are important nitrogenous compounds found in the plant and are widely used in medicine. The aim of the present study was to identify alkaloid compounds from the composition of the aquatic plant Pistia stratiotes, grown in a model experiment in laboratory conditions by highly effective liquid chromatography and determine the molecular structure by nuclear magnetic resonance. In addition, based on the molecular structure of alkaloid compounds found in the aquatic plant Pistia stratiotes, a study of the properties of pharmaceutical activity was conducted on the pharmaceutical site POM (Petra/Osiris/Molinspiration). According to the results of the study, 4 types of identified alkaloids were identified by the IR, 1H, 13C-NMR method. They: 1-Aza-10-methoxy-4-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroanthracene-9-O-b-D-glucopyranoside, 4,6-dimethoxy-8-prenyloxyfuroquinoline, 4,7-dimethoxy-6 - (3’ - methyl-3’ - methoxy-2 ' - oxy) butyl-oxifuroquinoline , 4,7-dimethoxy-6 - (3’ - methyl-2’ - oxy-3 ' - chlorine)butyloxifuroquinoline. As a result of the analysis of the identified POM alkaloids (Petra/Osiris/Molinspiration), predictions of antitumor activity were made. The presence of a (NHd+--- Od-) moiety indicates a potential antitumor pharmacophore site. The challenge is to verify our hypothesis experimentally and to confront virtual POM data and real anticancer screening.

Nutrients produce various secondary metabolites, including biologically active compounds such as antifungals. The composition of E. Crassipes aquatic plant contains biologically active substances. In this article, the composition of substances in E. Crassipes was identified using IR, 1H, and 13C-NMR methods. The identified substances were characterized for biological activity using the PASS online program. This was based on their molecular structure. As a result of the program, compounds showing activity against light, viruses, earwigs, and bacteria were developed. The program's scope included testing the substances' antimicrobial activity using agar diffusion assay in experiments. Substances were extracted from the aquatic plant via chromatography-mass spectrometry, and their activity against earwigs was examined. The study revealed efficacy against Candida albicans and Candida utilis earwigs.
