Тип записи:Публикация, COVID-19 and Kazakhstani Women Teachers: An Empirical Study of Factors Affecting Mental Health(Taylor & Francis, 2022-04-03); ;Alexandra Nam ;Almira Tabaeva ;Fahriye AltınayZehra AltınayThe study investigates stress and organizational climate factors affecting mental health of women school and university teachers in pre‐COVID‐19 and COVID‐19 periods in the context of Central Asia considering the case of Kazakhstan. The results of quantitative empirical study show that the pandemic has caused an increase in perceived anxiety and depression among women teachers. Women teachers in urban areas experienced greater anxiety and depression than rural teachers. The moderation interaction predictor indicates that the effect of perceived stress becomes less negative with increased level of Material and Technical Security or Access to Technological Resources. In conditions of COVID-19 the effect of Material Technical Security/Access to Technological Resources on Mental Health becomes significant when women teachers have a better Social Climate at work. Its effect on Mental Health becomes significant when women teachers are more engaged in the decision making process with clearly defined organizational goals according to the Participatory Management policy and when women teachers more frequently receive Performance Feedback.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 2Цитирования (OpenCitations) 2 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Mental characteristics of personality in a state of ambiguity:a historical review(2023-01-01); ; ;A. A. KassymzhanovaThe article deals with the mental features of a person experiencing ambiguity caused by COVID-19, an impact of a unique phenomenon which has led to isolation and global stress at the global level – anxiety, stress, depression which has caused anxiety due to ambiguity, which in turn discourages a person and prevent anyone from comfortable mental development. It is observed that anxiety as a manifestation of sensitivity to stress, in turn, affects the level of tolerance to ambiguity. However, it is possible to make sure that this problem, having experienced an inner potential, especially powerful resource states that have never been observed in a person, motivates him/her to realize it, as a personality characteristic of a person, to accept tolerance for ambiguity as a life norm, to combine truth with creativity with subjective certainty. It is quite possible that the tolerance against ambiguity experienced in the global context will have a positive effect on improving one’s personality, as well as on striving for stability and integrity, increasing the ability to overcome adversity. In the process of analyzing the results of the studies, it is observed that people with a high level of anxiety have a lower tolerance for ambiguity. Certainly, it will not be easy to any person to accept and to convince himself/herself that in such a complex situation they cannot keep all the difficulties and changes under their control. In this regard, because of uncertainty, it causes anxiety leading to fear and fright in person. As a result, there are various obstacles, which prevent a person from optimal development. At the same time, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was revealed in the anamnesis of examinee that people with mental health problems were deeply depressed and more likely to experience a state of stress. During the pandemic, the observation of mental reactions based on age and gender characteristics of a person, the features of groups vulnerable to depression, stress and anxiety symptoms were shown. The most effective way to overcome ambiguity is to deny that it exists - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Development of a Culture-Common Formal Characteristics of Behavior – Temperament Markers Inventory (FCB-TMI-CC)(Taylor & Francis, 2024-06-17) ;Maria Cyniak‐Cieciura ;Agnieszka Popiel ;Bogdan Zawadzki ;Julie K. Cremeans‐SmithGuido AlessandriThe goal was to create a brief temperament inventory grounded in the Regulative Theory of Temperament (FCB-TMI-CC), with a user-friendly, online applicability for studies in different cultures. As the regulative role of temperament is strongly revealed under meaningful stress, the study was planned within the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure high diversity in terms of culture, economic and environmental conditions, data from nine countries (Poland, United States of America, Italy, Japan, Argentina, South Korea, Ireland, United Kingdom and Kazakhstan) were utilized (min. N = 200 per country). Validation data were gathered on the level of COVID-19 stressors, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety and stress symptoms, and Big Five personality traits. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis served as the basis for the inventory’s construction. The final culture-common version includes 37 items (5–6 in each of the 7 scales) and covers the core aspects of temperament dimensions. Temperament structure was confirmed to be equivalent across measured cultures. The measurement is invariant at the level of factor loadings and the reliability (internal consistency) and theoretical validity of the scales were at least acceptable. Therefore, the FCB-TMI-CC may serve as a valuable tool for studying temperament across diverse cultures and facilitate cross-cultural comparisons.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 2Цитирования (OpenCitations) 2 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
