Тип записи:Публикация, Parental reflexivity and latent psychological violence among urban parents in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: an exploratory study(Frontiers Media, 2026-09-30); ; ; Marhabbat NurovIntroduction Parental reflective functioning (PRF) has been associated with less harmful parenting behavior and a lower likelihood of intergenerational continuity of violence. However, little is known about whether the association between parental reflexivity and psychologically harmful parenting differs between fathers and mothers in Central Asia. This study examined parental reflexivity, measured using A. V. Karpov’s Reflexivity Scale as an operational proxy for PRF, and its association with latent psychological violence among urban parents in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Methods A cross-sectional multi-city study was conducted in Almaty, Shymkent, Turkestan, and Bishkek. The analytical sample ( N = 400), drawn from a larger dataset ( n = 500), included 158 fathers and 242 mothers. Measures included reflexivity, aggression, empathy, latent psychological violence (ILV), uyat intensity, and family-of-origin violence. Analyses comprised parent-group-specific regressions, bootstrap coefficient comparisons, hierarchical moderation models with a PRF × parent-group interaction, and robustness analyses using recruitment-site fixed effects, robust standard errors, the full sample, parent-group weighting, and additional family-context covariates. Results Reflexivity was strongly inversely associated with latent psychological violence in both parent groups. The PRF–ILV slope was descriptively steeper among fathers than mothers ( b = −0.900, R 2 = 0.485 vs. b = −0.779, R 2 = 0.417), but the difference was not statistically significant ( z = −1.27, p = 0.204; 95% bootstrap CI [−0.320, 0.067]). The PRF × parent-group interaction was also nonsignificant (Δ R 2 = 0.002, p = 0.201). Among highly reflective parents with family-of-origin violence, none of five fathers met the exploratory high-ILV threshold (ILV ≥ 70), compared with 1 of 7 mothers; this difference was nonsignificant ( p = 1.000). Family-of-origin violence was associated with lower reflexivity among both fathers ( d = 0.64) and mothers ( d = 0.74). Discussion Parental reflexivity showed a robust inverse association with latent psychological violence, but formal analyses provided no evidence that this association differed between fathers and mothers. The descriptively steeper father association should therefore be regarded as hypothesis-generating rather than as evidence of a father-specific effect. These findings support further longitudinal and intervention research in urban Central Asian populations.

(2017-01-01)The article depicted the Central Asian countries and their main geopolitical problems. As well as the prospects and the place of Central Asia in the system of international relations. It is also important to note the following factors, which are important today for the Central Asian states. They are large in size, abundant in their population, rich in natural resources, especially oil and gas, ways of transporting them to the world market, etc. A huge contribution was made by the diplomacy of our country in the establishment of foreign policy and the strengthening of the international status of our country. To date, Kazakhstan has established foreign policy with many countries, and has become part of many international communities. The development of Central Asian countries at this stage is due to their desire to be a participant in world political and economic processes. To date, the question of the future place occupied by the countries of Central Asia in the system of world relations is very important and relevant. Because its prospects and the development of priorities depend on the stability of the world, including the Asian region. To be an equal state in regional and international politics, Central Asian countries should choose the most effective ways to build partnerships, associations and cooperation. The choice of the Central Asian states for the transition to a market economy and integration in the context of globalization is considered the first event in world history. economic factors and low living standards of the population can not be the main reason for the self-sufficiency of extremism. However, the worsening socio-economic situation and low living standards, unemployment, corruption and unfavorable demographic conditions have a great influence on the wider dissemination of ideas, including radical ideas, despite strict control over intelligence agencies. Since they are Islamic movements in the countries of the region, their ranks are constantly supplemented by socially disadvantaged citizens. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, ИНТЕГРАЦИЯ СТРАН ЦЕНТРАЛЬНОЙ АЗИИ(2021-03-22); ;Ш. М. НадыровThe peculiarity of the Central Asian region is that model other integration associations cannot be transferred mechanically, requiring intensive study and adaptation. The integration should be the development of trade, economic collaboration, and the availability of complete and secure the common market. It needs to meet the needs of domestic producers and create conditions for industrial activities in the common economic space. The main activities of the Central Asian region should be the establishment of a mechanism of inter-state relations taking into account the world experience of integration doctrines. Regional integration of Central Asian states is characterized by the proximity and interaction of national economies and regional economic groups. The Central Asian countries, which have chosen the path of integration as a modern example of link integration in Central Asia with the objective need as territorial integrity, and the most important sectors of the economy. To identify weaknesses in the integration of the Central Asian countries it is needed to study it in accordance with the conditions and prerequisites for international economic integration. The process of integration in the region is very slow. This is for several reasons, including a variety of models of reforming of economy and political systems. The diversity of the economy and political systems, national interests and orientations in the international arena is still higher than the integration process. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, Motivations of Rural Tourism Entrepreneurs: Conceptual Theory Building Using the Qualitative Study Results(2022-03-30); Zh. XiaotianAbstract Object: This paper aims to investigate the entrepreneurial motivations of various categories of rural tourism entrepreneurs, particularly highlighting the differences between Opportunity, Necessity, and Irrational entrepreneurs with a deep focus on commercial, social, irrational, as well as mixed intrinsic motives in start-up initiatives. Methods: This research adopts the qualitative research method. Twenty-five rural tourism entrepreneurs in Central Asia were studied in-depth, using a purposive sampling strategy. Results: The research revealed a specific category of rural tourism entrepreneurs defined as Irrational Entrepreneurs, which do not connect their initiative and activities with an opportunity to gain philanthropic benefits. Irrational Entrepreneurs are characterized by an extremely social dominance degree in their business motivations. Conclusions: For contributing to the conceptual theory building, the “Dominant Motivation Degrees” model is suggested. The study was conducted by the Research Institute for Social and Gender Studies at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, with support of the United Nations Educational, scientific and cultural organization. The aim of the empirical study is to assess the level of stress that women- teachers, in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, experienced in the pre-pandemic and post-pandemic periods, as well as the stress factors that may arise as a result of organization of work and workload. The practical and scientific significance of the study lies in the fact that it will help assess the stress in the lives of women teachers in Central Asia, and use the results and rec- ommendations of the study to prevent stress-related problems. According to the study, 53% of female teachers indicated that they have experienced stress due to their workload and family problems in the pre-pandemic period, and this figure increased to 65% after the pandemic. The results of the study can be used by researchers in the humanities who study stress that affects the psychological health of female teachers during the pandemic and emergency situations. Key words: teachers from Central Asia, COVID-19 and teachers, psychological stress, female teachers, gender equality, pandemic, distance learning. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, The role of teacher selection criteria and preparation on teacher self-efficacy, satisfaction, and commitment: an analysis of Kazakhstani TALIS data(Taylor & Francis, 2023-03-01) ;Matthew Gordon Ray Courtney ;Mehmet Karakuş ;Elaine Sharplin ;Daniel HernándezJanet HelmerIn Kazakhstan, an increasing school student population, low rates of graduates entering the profession, and high novice teacher attrition have made the attraction and retention of quality teachers a critical issue. To investigate this problem, the authors draw on the 2018 TALIS dataset involving a survey of 5201 Kazakhstani teachers from 275 participating schools. The study, framed by Chapman’s teacher attrition model, uses a nested data design. As an outcome variable, the authors make use of a corollary of attrition, the self-reported career commitment variable in the Kazakhstani TALIS dataset. The analysis suggests that teachers who enter the profession with enhanced altruistic tendencies have improved self-efficacy and job satisfaction. Further, teaching-as-a-first-career-choice appears to drive both job satisfaction and career commitment, while learning to manage behaviour and mixed-ability settings also appears to drive improved long-term career commitment. Implications for teacher education and research in other Central Asian and post-Soviet countries are offered.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 8Цитирования (OpenCitations) 6
