Тип записи:Публикация, Structural and functional characteristics of stress resistance in sports amid coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic(2022-08-26) ;Altynay Kozhan ;Gulmira Saudabayeva ;Р. М. Айтжанова; The aim of this study was to carry out a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of coping strategies among female track-and-field students of the first-third study years with different aggressiveness levels on the back of the coronavirus disease 2019-provoked self-isolation. The total sample of respondents comprised 360 female students majoring in Physical Education and Sports. All of them were enrolled in an online survey using the Anxiety, Frustration, Aggressiveness, and Rigidity methodology and Coping Orientation to Problems Experienced inventory. The study revealed that first-year students with high levels of aggressiveness focused on emotions and their expression under stress more often than first-years with moderate aggressiveness levels. Similarly, an increased concentration on negative emotions display was inherent to respondents of the second study year. The transition from the first to the third study year was marked with consolidation and strengthening of negative coping strategies used by female track-and-field athletes. This represents one of the central reasons for the deterioration of their psycho-emotional state during the quarantine. The most widely applied stress response tactics of female students of all 3 study years were associated with positive thinking, active coping, and planning (P≤ 0.05 with other coping strategies). Resort to psychoactive substances was noted less frequently (P≤ 0.01 with other strategies). As for the emotional component, increased attention to emotions’ expression and seeking of instrumental and emotional support were also chosen relatively often. The problematic issue needs further investigation in order to analyze whether stressful conditions persist or have decreased. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Integrating augmented reality technology to enhance student's learning in physical education(2022-09-23) ;Bakһytzһan Omarov; ;Nurlan Omarov ;Balnur KendzhaevaAlmas AnarbayevIn practically every professional sport, the usage of linked computerized performances and monitoring components, data analysis, augmented and virtual reality are standard things. Augmented reality in sporting is being shaped by the interaction of devices and information and communication technology advances. Nevertheless, without analysis, the data collected are useless. In the sporting industry, scientists and researchers are becoming more and more essential to human operations. Even if a variety of data, technology, new measurements, and analytics are readily available on our life, most participants in professional sports do not yet show a strong interest in sports analysis. In this study, we explore augmented reality tools in sport activities and consider augmented reality tools to improve health conditions of students at the universities. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия

Тип записи:Публикация, AN EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH TO TESTING THE TECHNIQUE OF CREATIVE WRITING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING AT A UNIVERSITYThis article delves into the investigation of the effectiveness of integrating creative writing activities within the context of foreign language classrooms at the university level. The primary objective is to scrutinize the conditions and outcomes associated with the implementation of creative writing techniques in foreign language instruction and its impact on language acquisition processes. Drawing inspiration from the theories of Noam Chomsky on first language acquisition and Stephen Krashen on second language acquisition, this study adopts an experimental approach to explore the influence of creative writing on language learning.Employing methods such as contrastive analysis, descriptive analysis, and comparison, the study unveils the pivotal role of creative writing across different proficiency levels, ranging from intermediate to advanced fluency stages. It is observed that students, particularly during these stages, exhibit a heightened need for linguistic expression, transcending conventional academic written outputs.Furthermore, the article categorizes and reviews various types of activities involving creative writing, shedding light on their potential outcomes. The experimental aspect of this research involves the implementation of creative writing techniques in university foreign language classes, yielding promising results. Through this experimental endeavor, students demonstrated enhanced engagement, improved language proficiency, and heightened creativity in linguistic expression. The scientific novelty of this article lies in its unique exploration of the intersections between foreign language acquisition and creative writing, a topic relatively underexplored in local pedagogical inquiries. Theoretical significance is derived from the comprehensive analysis and systematization of a technique that is not yet widely integrated into foreign language teaching practices in Kazakhstan's higher education institutions. The practical implications of the study extend to pedagogical and academic contexts, providing valuable insights for educators and researchers alike. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Examen de la actividad física y los niveles de calidad de vida de los estudiantes universitarios basado en el análisis de los indicadores WHOQOL-BREF(FEADEF, 2024-10-03) ;Bakһytzһan Omarov ;Baglan Yermakhanov; ;Anuarbek AmanovAigul TurayevaThis study investigates the impact of physical activity on the quality of life among university students using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, focusing on three primary dimensions: physical health, psychological health, and social relations. Sixty students were divided into two groups based on their lifestyle patterns: thirty engaged regularly in sports and physical activities (Group A), and thirty led a predominantly sedentary lifestyle (Group B). The results highlighted significant positive correlations between regular physical activity and both physical and psychological health. Specifically, Group A exhibited superior physical and psychological health scores compared to Group B, substantiating the hypothesis that physical activity significantly enhances these aspects of quality of life. Conversely, no significant difference was found in social relations between the two groups, suggesting that the influence of physical activity on social interactions might be less straightforward and possibly moderated by other unmeasured variables. These findings underscore the necessity for universities to foster environments that encourage physical activities, as part of a broader strategy to enhance overall student well-being and academic performance. The study contributes to the existing literature by reaffirming the multifaceted benefits of physical activity and calls for integrated health promotion strategies within educational institutions to support the holistic development of students. Keywords: physical activity, university students, quality of life, WHOQOL-BREF, psychological health, social relations, sedentary lifestyle, health promotion, student well-being, educational policy.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 3Цитирования (OpenCitations) 3 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Science students’ attitudes, learning, critical thinking and engagement in project-based learning(Taylor & Francis, 2024-12-27); ;Samat Maxutov ;Robert Lee Lathrop; Nuri BaltaIn Project-Based Learning (PjBL), students are at the center of the learning process, where they actively collaborate to solve real-world problems. The aim of this study’s research was to explore students’ opinions of PjBL lessons across several factors: attitude, learning, critical thinking and engagement. To gather data, a questionnaire was administered to 167 students from six universities in Kazakhstan. The results revealed that students’ attitudinal scores towards PjBL were lower than their learning, critical thinking and engagement scores. Additionally, female students reported more positive attitudes towards PjBL than their male counterparts. The study found no variation in attitudes, learning, critical thinking and engagement of PjBL among different academic disciplines. Moreover, there was a weak positive correlation between students’ math scores and their engagement in PjBL. These results have implications for how future PjBL activities can be organized and how curriculum can be developed to enhance students’ attitudes towards PjBL.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 31Цитирования (OpenCitations) 19 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
