    FORMATION OF CHILDREN'S READINESS FOR LEARNING IN PRE-SCHOOL EDUCATION
    (2020-03-30) ;
    А.М. Үсенова
    The article deals with the problem of children's readiness to learn in pre-school education. The authors define the essence and approaches to defining the concept of “readiness to study at school". The components of school readiness are identified: personal, socio-psychological, intellectual, and individual. The program of diagnostics of children's readiness for learning in pre-school education is defined. The criteria and indicators are presented (medical and physiological-determining the child's compliance with age standards of readiness to study at school; cognitive – determining the development of cognitive processes and their arbitrariness; motivational – the presence of stable motives in children, the formation of the internal position of the future student); levels (low, medium, high) of children's readiness to learn in pre-school education and the results of experimental work. The article was published through grant funding "The best teacher of the university in 2019".

    The integration of digital technologies into physical education has emerged as a promising approach to enhancing student engagement and promoting long-term physical activity habits. This study investigates the effectiveness of using fitness tracking applications in a university-level physical education setting. The primary objective was to assess whether incorporating autonomy-supportive digital tools could improve students' attitudes toward physical education and sustain their physical activity beyond the classroom. An experimental design was implemented involving two groups: an experimental group that engaged in self-monitored physical activity using mobile applications, and a control group that followed a traditional instructor-led program without digital integration. Data collection included pre- and post-intervention surveys assessing motivation and attitudes, as well as app-based step count logs. Results revealed that the experimental group showed significantly greater improvements in both motivational indices and weekly activity levels compared to the control group. Furthermore, 72% of students in the experimental group continued using the fitness applications during a four-week follow-up period, in contrast to only 39% in the control group. These findings highlight the critical role of self-determination theory in designing digital interventions that support autonomy and competence. The study contributes to the growing field of digital pedagogy by demonstrating the practical value of fitness apps in formal educational contexts. It suggests that strategically implemented digital tools not only improve immediate learning outcomes but also foster sustainable behavioral changes in physical activity. This research offers a scalable and low-cost model for enhancing physical education through personalization, real-time feedback, and autonomous goal-setting, thus bridging the gap between classroom instruction and lifelong fitness behavior.

    The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of motivational, cognitive, and reflexive components in developing communicative competence among pre-service teachers within the context of multilingual education. A total of 162 participants took part in the study, including 82 students in the experimental group and 80 in the control group. A quasi-experimental pretest–posttest design was employed. The experimental group received instruction through a specially designed elective course focused on developing communicative competence in multilingual settings, while the control group followed the standard curriculum. Data were collected using questionnaires and performance-based communicative tasks involving dialogue, monologue, public speaking, and written interaction. Statistical analysis included descriptive measures and t-tests to assess differences between groups. The results showed that students in the experimental group demonstrated significant improvement in motivational, cognitive, and reflexive components, as well as in overall communicative competence, compared to the control group. Correlation analysis revealed strong relationships among these components, with the reflexive factor exerting the greatest influence. The findings indicate that integrating motivational, cognitive, and reflexive dimensions into teacher education effectively enhances pre-service teachers’ communicative competence in multilingual educational environments.
