Тип записи:Публикация, SELECTIVITY OF INTERPOLYMER SYSTEMS WITH RESPECT TO LANTHANUM IONS(2021-03-14) ;Talkybek Jumadilov; ; ; The paper deals with the sorption of lanthanum ions by an interpolymer system consisting of sulfonic cation exchanger KU2-8 and anion exchanger AV-17-8. To predict the sorption activity of the intergel system, the mutual activation of the KU2-8 sulfonic cationite with the AV-17-8 anionite in the aqueous medium was initially studied. Due to the mutual activation of hydrogels in the course of their remote interaction, the polymer macromolecules pass into a highly ionized state, which leads to a significant increase in the degree of extraction of lanthanum ions from polymer hydrogels in intergel vapors as compared to the initial polymers. We calculated the degree of extraction of lanthanum ions by the interpolymer system KU2-8: AV-17-8, the degree of binding of the polymer chain (in relation to lanthanum ions) with the initial ion exchangers and the interpolymer system KU2-8: AV-17-8. Based on the data obtained, a comparative analysis of the sorption of lanthanum ions by individual sorbents and an interpolymer system was carried out within the limits of the ratio KU2-8: AV-17-8 = 5: 1–1: 5. It has been established that the maximum degree of sorption of lanthanum ions by the KU2-8: AV-17-8 interpolymer system is observed within the ratio KU2-8: AV-17-8 = 2: 4 at 48 hours of remote interaction of the interpolymer system and is 54.73 mol. %, at which the degree of binding of the polymer chain is 6.15% - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Specific features of praseodymium extraction by intergel system based on polyacrylic acid and poly-4-vinylpyridine hydrogels(2021-09-27) ;Talkybek Jumadilov; ;Kh. Khimersen; А. М. ImangazySome technological solutions contain valuable components and can become an additional source of rare-earth elements to satisfy the current production demands. This research provides the study on using a combination of polyacrylic acid hydrogel (hPAA) and hydrogel of poly-4-vinylpyridine (hP4VP) in different molar ratios for praseodymium ions sorption from its nitrate solution. The mutual activation of the hydrogels in an aqueous medium provides their transformation into a highly ionized state by the conformational and electrochemical changes in properties during their remote interaction. The electrochemical properties of solutions were studied by the methods of electrical conductivity, and pH measurements of the solutions. The research showed that the maximum activation of hydrogels was revealed within the molar ratio of hPAA:hP4VP equal to 1:5. Moreover, the total praseodymium ions sorption degree after 24 hours of sorption by individual hPAA and hP4VP was 54 % and 47 %, respectively, whereas the praseodymium ions sorption degree by the hPAA–hP4VP intergel system in the molar ratio 1:5 became 62 %. A slight increase in the sorption degree of praseodymium ions by the intergel system in comparison with individual hydrogels can be explained by the achievement of a higher ionization degree of hydrogels being activated in the hPAA–hP4VP interpolymer system by the remote interaction effect.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 9Цитирования (OpenCitations) 9 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Anomalous Sorption of Yttrium Ions by the Mutual Activated Hydrogels in the Interpolymer System of Poly(Methacrylic Acid) and Poly(4-Vinylpyridine)(Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2023-03-26) ;Talkybek Jumadilov; ;А. М. ImangazyJuozas V. GražulevičiusThis paper considers the effect of mutual activation of poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA) and poly-(4 vinylpyridine) (P4VP) hydrogels during their remote interaction on the degree of yttrium ions sorption from an aqueous medium. Electrochemical properties were studied by conductometry and pH measurements to predict the activation possibility of these hydrogels. pH measurements showed that at 0.1 hour, the pH values were the lowest, indicating a high content of H+ ions in the aqueous solution. An increase in the interaction time to 24 hours leads to an increase in pH values, indicating a decrease in the content of H+ ions in the solution. The dependences of the specific electrical conductivity were studied. The experiments showed that the maximum values were observed at the ratios of 3 : 3 and 1 : 5 (gPMAA : gP4VP), which coincided with the result of pH measurements. The obtained results indicate the significant changes occurred in the electrochemical and conformational values of the initial macromolecules in the interpolymer system. Our research confirms the presence of remote interaction between hydrogels and their mutual activation.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 8Цитирования (OpenCitations) 5 - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, Zeolites and Activated Carbons in Hydroponics: A Systematic Review of Mechanisms, Performance Metrics, Techno-Economic Analysis and Life-Cycle Assessment(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute, 2025-12-08) ;Dana Akhmetzhanova; ;Yerlan Doszhanov; Karina SaurykovaThe sustainable operation of hydroponic systems depends on maintaining the chemical stability of circulating nutrient solutions and preventing the accumulation of toxic compounds. The accumulation of phytotoxic ammonium, heavy metals, and organic metabolites in recirculating nutrient solutions remains one of the key challenges limiting the efficiency, sustainability, and scalability of hydroponic cultivation. This review provides a comprehensive comparative analysis of zeolites, activated carbons (ACs), and their functionalized and composite forms as key sorbents for nutrient management, contaminant removal, and environmental safety in hydroponic cultivation. Natural zeolites, with their well-defined crystalline structure and high ion-exchange selectivity toward ammonium and heavy metal cations, enable effective NH4+/K+ balance regulation and phytotoxicity mitigation. ACs, characterized by high specific surface area and tunable surface chemistry, complement zeolites by offering extensive adsorption capacity for organic compounds, root exudates, and pesticide residues, thereby extending the operational lifespan of nutrient solutions and improving overall system performance. Further advancements include the integration of zeolites and ACs with two-dimensional (graphene, g-C3N4) and three-dimensional (MOF, COF) frameworks, yielding multifunctional materials that combine adsorption, ion exchange, photocatalysis, and nutrient regulation. Transition-metal modification, particularly with Fe, Mn, Cu, Ni, and Co, introduces redox-active centers that enhance sorption, catalysis, and phosphate stabilization. The comparative synthesis reveals that the combined application of zeolite- and carbon-based composites offers a synergistic strategy for developing adaptive and low-waste hydroponic systems. From a techno-economic and environmental standpoint, the judicious application of these materials paves the way for more resilient, efficient, and circular hydroponic systems, reducing fertilizer and water consumption, lowering contaminant discharge, and enhancing food security. This systematic review was conducted according to the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Relevant studies were identified through Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases using specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.Цитирования (OpenAlex) 5Цитирования (OpenCitations) 1
