Spiritual and Moral Aspects of the Human Problem in the National Consciousness of the Kazakh People(AfricaJournals, 2024-08-16) ;Yerlan Chermukhambetov ;Gaukhar Barlybayeva ;Гүлнар Нүсіпова ;Bakittizhamal ImanmoldayevaЖаныл МадалиеваThe problem of the spiritual and moral components of personality holds key significance in the genesis, evolution, and development of the national consciousness of the Kazakh people. In the contemporary era of globalization, moral imperatives grounded in the values of traditional culture ensure stability in identification amidst interactions with other nations. Within the Turkic Kazakh philosophical, ethnological, and anthropological traditions, personality was conceived in harmonious interaction with natural rhythms, as an element of the cosmic universe. The objectives of this research are to identify the patterns of evolution of notions about personality in traditional and contemporary Turkic-Kazakh philosophy and culture, as well as to determine methods for preserving, developing, and safeguarding spiritual and moral values within Kazakh national consciousness. The methodological foundation for studying the processes of genesis and evolution of the concept of personality is the social constructivism of Gellner and Smith. The interpretation of the ideological content of epic literature and philosophical works is conducted based on hermeneutic methods. This article explores the processes of forming the concept of personality in Kazakh national consciousness within the spiritual and moral dimensions. The main stages of evolution identified include the periods of proto-states, the presence of the Kazakh ethnicity within the Russian Empire – the Soviet Union, and independent development. The establishment of contemporary multiethnic Kazakhstan requires the protection of the foundations of national consciousness from negative external influences. The homogenizing and standardizing influence of global mass media threatens the traditional worldview of Kazakhs, raised in harmony with the surrounding world. The stability of Kazakh national consciousness is based on the concept of personality, wherein traditional values and modern perceptions of the surrounding world, society, and state are harmoniously combined. The obtained results can be utilized in formulating programs for the operation of governmental bodies, political parties, and social associations, in academic and teaching activities, and in facilitating publications in mass media.

Тип записи:Публикация, Pragmalinguistic Features of Sacred Anthroponyms(2025-09-19) ;Gulzada Duisen ;Botagoz M. Suiyerkul ;Altynshash Kurmanali Chakyroglu ;Karimbek KurmanaliyevБарно Исакуловна БолтаеваThis study examines how contemporary Turkic society perceives sacred Muslim names, with particular emphasis on shifting attitudes toward their usage. The usage of sacred anthroponyms in these regions has evolved under the influence of various social, cultural, and historical factors. Muslim names have long been central to the religious and cultural identity of these societies. However, processes such as modernization, globalization, and urbanization have led to substantial changes in their usage. Despite these developments and the growing trend of secularization, the concept of 'sacred anthroponyms' remains an ongoing subject of debate. This paper deals with a significant aspect of Turkic anthroponyms: proper names derived from religious beliefs. A comprehensive methodological approach, integrating both linguistic and sociocultural analyses, facilitates a nuanced understanding of the role of Muslim names in preserving traditional cultural values. This paper aims to investigate the extent to which sacred anthroponyms are preserved across generations within the category of proper names. By analyzing the spiritual and pragmatic features of sacred anthroponyms, the study assesses the influence of socio-cultural transformations on their perception within modern Turkic societies. This study opens up avenues for comparative research in other linguistic or cultural groups undergoing similar socio-cultural transformations, particularly in post-Soviet or Muslim-majority contexts. The findings make a contribution to preserving cultural heritage and understanding naming practices in the context of globalization and provide a basis for future research on the intersection between name choices, self-perception, and social identity.
Sacred Symbolism in the Context of Globalisation: An Interpretation of Mircea Eliade’s Religious Hermeneutics(AfricaJournals, 2026-06-15) ;Tolen Barakbayeva ;Albina Duissenbayeva; ;Dariga KokeyevaKairat ZatovThe aim of the study was to identify the directions and patterns of transformation of sacred categories within Mircea Eliade’s hermeneutical system under the conditions of the globalised and digital culture of the twenty-first century. The research was theoretical-analytical and used systemic, content analytical, phenomenological, and comparative-hermeneutical approaches. The analysis covered a corpus of Mircea Eliade’s key works, as well as interpretations by scholars Bryan S. Rennie and Douglas Allen. The results of content analysis showed a significant prevalence of certain categories: symbol (≈150 occurrences), sacrum/profanum (≈120), and myth (≈110), among others. The comparative-analytical stage revealed dynamic transformations within Eliade’s categorical system, including changes in the significance of sacrum/profanum, symbol, and archetype, reflecting the adaptation of sacred categories in a globalised and digital context. The categories myth and repetition retained stability (8 and 7 points respectively), demonstrating the resilience of the mythological and ritual contours of sacred experience. The obtained data indicate a transition from a vertically hierarchical model of sacred consciousness to a network structure in which the sacred is realised through digital media, visual symbols, and communicative spaces. It was established that archetypal forms – axis mundi, light, centre, circle – are integrated into digital architecture and the visual codes of mass culture, performing their former functions of sacred mediation. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its results to the analysis of symbolic systems in digital media, architecture, and visual communication, as well as in the development of interdisciplinary models for studying sacred semiotics in a global cultural context.
Analyzing Current Tendencies in the Formation of National Identity in Society: International Experience(2026-07-24) ;Gulzer Dauletova ;А. Р. The aim of the study was to identify new trends in identity in the third decade of the twenty-first century. The methodology of this research was based on the analysis of social phenomena in the United States, the United Kingdom, Kazakhstan, and Germany. The study explored examples illustrating the formation of national identity as well as the social processes affecting this identity in the context of globalization. It also analyzed the legal framework regulating aspects of the formation and expression of national identity in the countries studied. Several important aspects of modern identity were addressed in the research. Specifically, the issue of social solidarity and its influence on contemporary society was analyzed, as well as how social solidarity contributed to the unity of society during the COVID-19 pandemic. A characteristic feature of this unity was mutual assistance, which manifested itself in caring for the sick, delivering medicine, and the active involvement of trade unions in the US. The problem of migrant identity was also explored. As a result of numerous military conflicts, migration processes have intensified, bringing new cultural and, importantly, religious characteristics to society. Kazakhstan represents a unique example of a post-Soviet state with rapidly developing national identity, combining the influence of neighboring cultures and modern global processes.
