Тип записи:Публикация, Narrative of Dispute in Kazakh Folklore: Litigation as a Cultural Concept in Oral and Epic Traditions(2025-12-30) ;Yerzhan Aryn ;Zhanalyk Baltabayeva ;Yerlan KassenThis study examines the cultural and pragmatic logic of litigation in Kazakh folklore. It is inseparable from oral performance, ethical authority, and collective memory. The present study demonstrates how litigation reveals that justice was not merely administered but performed through storytelling, speech performance, rhetorical wisdom, and communal praxis. The study reviews examples across genres and shows that Kazakh folklore presents litigation as a narrative mechanism that serves as a signpost for a communicative strategy, a discursive performance, and a linguistic phenomenon. Litigation as a cultural concept is embedded in traditional genres through the activities of the Biy institution. The decline of the Biy institution marked the end of an era, but its narrative echoes still resonate in the folk stories, myths, and moral imagination of Kazakh culture. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, COMMUNICATIVE FEATURES OF AGE COHORTS (X, Y, Z, ALPHA) IN SOCIAL MEDIAIn the contemporary world, social media have become a key space for communication, information exchange, and self-presentation. However, communication within this environment is not uniform across all age groups; rather, it varies depending on age-related characteristics, which are reflected in language choice, forms of interaction, and communicative strategies. The article examines the communicative behavior of X, Y, Z, and Alpha age cohorts within the Kazakh-speaking social media landscape (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook). The study aims to identify differences in language choices and communicative strategies among representatives of different generations. To collect empirical data, a specially designed survey method was employed, and the results were subjected to statistical and linguistic analysis. The survey results indicate that the older generations (X, Y) primarily prioritize informational and professional content, whereas the younger generations (Z, Alpha) lean towards multimodal and expressive-emotional communication. The study describes the development of skills for concise and brief expression of thoughts under the influence of social media, as well as the transformation of linguistic norms (slang, emojis, hybrid style). The findings of the research contribute to the theory of Kazakh-language digital discourse in the fields of media linguistics and sociolinguistics. - Некоторые метрики заблокированы вашиминастройками согласия
Тип записи:Публикация, THE MANIPULATIVE FUNCTION OF PHRASEOLOGISMS IN POLITICAL DISCOURSE (ON THE BASIS OF KAZAKH AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES)The article examines the role and significance of socio-political translation in the context of modern intercultural communication. From a sociolinguistic perspective, the study explores the peculiarities of translating political discourse, including adaptation to the target audience, adherence to linguistic norms, and issues of political correctness. Based on concrete translation examples from Kazakh and Russian, the analysis focuses on national-cultural features as well as the translator’s linguistic competence and lexical usage. In the context of modern intercultural communication, the sociolinguistic features of socio-political translation are identified using materials from the Kazakh and Russian languages. The main objects of the study are the President’s Address and legislative acts. The semantic, lexical, and stylistic characteristics of translated texts in Kazakh and Russian are analyzed, and conclusions are drawn on the basis of translation theory and general requirements for translators. During the research, particular attention is paid to sociolinguistic aspects, namely linguistic identity, national-mental specificities, communicative strategies, and the role of cultural values. The process of translating socio-political texts is described as an act of intercultural communication, in which the translator’s creative activity and heuristic decisions are examined. The findings contribute to improving translation practice in multilingual environments and provide a deeper understanding of the interaction between the Kazakh and Russian languages within intercultural communication.
